The World (In Lace)

I'm certainly not posting anything that illustrates the lyrics, so here's a picture of a cloth.
It's been another crazy couple of weeks, so I haven't posted much OC. Sorry about that. There's plenty in the chamber, waiting to fire through my fingers, but that takes time.

Here is another old writing of mine, I thought I was meta and wrote this using a woman figure to illustrate the seductive, entrapping, destructive nature of the world.

I actually turned this one into a song on the FireFly album, which you can hear below the words.

Inside its blue, it comes out red
You bleed yourself to say you bled
You dry your veins, then blame the knife
Show me your bones. Let me inside

You walk in wearing silk and lace
A knowing smile upon your face
You let the cloth fall to the ground
Revealing pain without a sound

So now I see the truth
It took me so long to see
You with your beautiful smile
You made a fool out of me

It’s time to look inside your head
Remember every word you said
You’d give the world to feel at all
But it’s so quiet as you fall

And now I see the truth
It took me so long to see
You with your beautiful smile
You made a fool out of me

I hope your week is going well,
Austin
