"Can you heat this up for me?" |
A couple of memories from an older blog I kept (It's easy to copy and paste when I'm busy).
Enjoy!
When I found these clipping I was reminded that my interesting travel experiences go back to when I first started flying a lot. I wonder how many great stories are missed or not committed to memory by the globetrotters of the world. I'll start paying even more attention now.
An incident from the security checkpoint at TIA:
TSA guy at security checkpoint: Are you in the army?
Me: no, why?
TSA guy: you look like you're in the army; big, bald, and wearing combat boots. Are those running shoes?
Me: No... They are work boots.
TSA guy: God bless you.
Another, this time from the queue at Starbucks when the Barista hands a steaming Cafe Latte' to a French tourist :
French guy (with full Inspector Clouseau accent): this is TOO HOT! You must make a new one or it will not have THE PROPER FLAVOR! 130 degrees NO hotter!
Barista (big black lady with new orleans accent): Yes SIR, one not too hot not too cold cafe latte' coming right up SIR.She made his drink new and handed it to him.
Here you go SIR.The Frenchman walks away almost in tears as I approach to collect my very hot (The guy had a point) Caramel Macchiato. The Barista lady looks at me, then looks at him, and mutters just loud enough for him to hear:
Wuss.
Welp, there you go! Maybe I'll dig up some more of these to share.
Au Revoir!
